About Vivienne
I studied Maths and Further Maths at A-level and am currently studying PPE at the University of Oxford. I also have previous tutoring experience from school, where I enjoyed helping younger students build their confidence and understanding in Maths.
I know that it can sometimes feel daunting to ask questions in a classroom, so I want my sessions to be a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable saying when they don’t understand something. There are no silly questions, and I’m always happy to explain something in a different way or go over it as many times as needed.
Maths is a subject I really enjoy, and I’d love to help other students find that same enjoyment while becoming more confident in their own ability.

I tailor my lessons to each student’s individual needs and area of struggle and typically last around one hour. I start by asking if there are any topics or specific questions they have recently struggled with. We then go through these areas together, followed by exam-style questions from this topic to strengthen their understanding and confidence.
If time allows, we finish the session by working through past exam paper questions to improve exam technique. I am happy to adapt my teaching style and pace to each individual and am open to teaching students of any age or ability.
