I am a postgraduate-trained teacher with over 20 years of experience. I have had great success in the profession because I genuinely like to impart knowledge and to interact with others. My approach to teaching is based on constructivism, as well as inquiry-based learning. I assist students in discovering how they learn and how to create their own understanding of material presented to them. I also help and encourage them to develop their research skills, as this provides a connection between them and the material investigated.
A typical lesson plan would include the topic, objectives, introduction, development, demonstration/modelling of target responses, seatwork/practice exercises and evaluation. I am unique as I understand the learning process and how to facilitate learning. My focus is on multilevel ability students in the middle and high school.
