About Atreyi
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cambridge with a strong interdisciplinary background in experimental biology, quantitative analysis, and bioinformatics. Alongside my research, I have extensive experience mentoring and tutoring students across different academic levels, helping them with both subject knowledge and exam technique.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students, particularly in Mathematics, Physics and Biology. I also support students preparing for university admissions or working on scientific writing and data analysis.
Overall, my aim is to make challenging topics clearer, reduce anxiety around STEM subjects, and help students become more confident and independent learners.

My tutoring approach is focused on building deep understanding, confidence, and independent problem-solving rather than memorisation.
I start by identifying the student’s current level and any gaps in understanding. From there, I break topics into small, structured steps and explain them in multiple ways (visual, conceptual, and exam-focused) until the idea “clicks.” I use active questioning throughout lessons so students are constantly engaging with the material rather than passively listening. For exam preparation, I emphasise pattern recognition, common question types, and clear method writing to maximise marks.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although 90-minute sessions can be arranged for more intensive support or exam preparation. Lessons usually include a short review of previous material, teaching of new concepts, guided practice, and independent questions with feedback.
