The rationale I give, is that one would never be 100 percent prepared to the tough things, and there is nothing like 100 percent preparation in life.
Many students fill the form for administrative services, but never go and sit in the examination, giving the same rationale, that they are not 100 percent prepared.
I argue them to look at the marks of the qualifying students. Such tough examinations are always low scoring, and as per my experience anybody who sits in the examination for 3 hours and struggle with the paper, invariably gets a call for the interview.
