About Saira
I have 10 years of experience teaching piano and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a focus on piano. My teaching integrates classical technique with modern pedagogical methods to ensure students develop strong fundamentals while exploring creative musical expression.
I have taught beginners learning their first scales and advanced students preparing for performances, examinations, and creative projects. My approach emphasizes patience, clarity, and adaptability, tailoring instruction to each student’s needs, goals, and musical interests.
Teaching piano is incredibly fulfilling because I see students grow from technical practice to expressive performance. Witnessing learners gain fluency, play confidently, and develop a personal musical voice motivates me to continually refine my lessons. My ultimate goal is to nurture pianists who approach music with both skill and imagination, capable of expressing themselves fully through the piano.

My piano lessons are designed to build a solid technical foundation while nurturing creativity and musical intuition. I begin with finger independence, proper hand positioning, and scales to ensure students develop strength, dexterity, and accuracy. Students learn note reading, rhythm exercises, and phrasing while gaining confidence in both hands coordination. I also incorporate sight-reading and ear training to enhance overall musicianship.
As lessons advance, I introduce repertoire across multiple genres, including classical, jazz, pop, and contemporary pieces. I guide students in expression, dynamics, pedal technique, and interpretation. Improvisation, composition exercises, and ensemble practice help learners apply theory in practical, engaging ways. Feedback is constructive and detailed, emphasizing both progress and areas for improvement.
For advanced learners, lessons focus on performance preparation, expressive storytelling through music, and collaborative ensemble work. Students refine phrasing, articulation, and interpretive choices to perform with confidence and style. My goal is to create well-rounded pianists who combine technical skill, musical understanding, and creative expression while enjoying the journey of learning and performing piano.
