About Olivia
My passion for piano began through fascination with melody, harmony, and emotional storytelling through music. This interest inspired me to complete a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance, where I explored advanced technique, interpretation, and musical artistry in greater depth. During the past 9 years, I have guided students from different musical backgrounds through lessons that feel warm, encouraging, and creatively inspiring.
I enjoy helping students feel more comfortable at the piano and discover their own musical identity through steady learning. My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, healthy technique, and artistic expression because every learner experiences music differently. Some students improve through structured exercises and repetition, while others gain confidence through improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adapt lessons to ensure every learner feels motivated and supported throughout their musical journey.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring piano repertoire, composition, and performance styles to keep my lessons engaging and fresh. Staying connected to music allows me to bring artistic inspiration and practical performance ideas into lessons. I want students to improve not only technically but also emotionally through stronger confidence and creativity. Helping learners express themselves through piano remains one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching experience.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build musical understanding through structured practice and creative exploration. I teach finger independence, rhythm control, sight reading, chord progressions, improvisation, dynamics, and musical interpretation using methods that make learning feel approachable and rewarding. Lessons are designed to help students understand music deeply instead of relying only on memorization. I create a supportive atmosphere where learners feel comfortable growing at their own pace through steady guidance and encouragement.
Each lesson is personalized according to the student’s experience level and musical interests. Beginners receive patient support with posture, note reading, hand coordination, and rhythm exercises, while advanced learners strengthen expression, technical precision, and performance skills. I include scales, duet activities, improvisation exercises, and listening practice that help students improve naturally over time. Students preparing for examinations or performances receive additional support with stage preparation and musical confidence.
I believe piano becomes more meaningful when students feel emotionally connected to music and comfortable expressing themselves creatively. My lessons aim to replace frustration and hesitation with enjoyment and steady progress through patient explanation and supportive learning. Many students gradually become more expressive, disciplined, and confident as their understanding grows stronger. My goal is to help learners build strong musical foundations while developing creativity and confidence that support lifelong musical growth.
