About Zivya
My piano teaching approach focuses on combining strong technical skills with creative expression. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, whether they are learning classical pieces, composing original music, or exploring modern pop styles. Technique is central, so I emphasize articulation, phrasing, and expressive dynamics to help students play with emotion and clarity. I also focus on performance skills, including memory strategies, stage presence, and consistent practice routines. For students interested in composing or producing their own music, I guide them through harmony, chord progressions, and creative arrangement techniques. Digital tools like notation software and MIDI apps are used to enhance learning and experimentation. Sight-reading, rhythmic accuracy, and keyboard technique are strengthened gradually, while maintaining a focus on musicality. I support students in developing their unique style, encouraging both structured practice and creative exploration. Lessons are adaptable, interactive, and designed to help learners achieve both technical mastery and artistic expression.

I’m a dedicated piano teacher with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Piano. My approach combines traditional technique with modern music-making tools. I love helping students explore their creativity through songwriting, music production, and hybrid styles.
Technology plays a big role in my lessons. I use MIDI controllers, online recording software, and digital notation apps to make learning interactive and engaging. Students can compose, record, and experiment with sound right from the lesson. I guide them step by step in arranging harmonies and crafting original pieces.
Alongside creative projects, I focus on strengthening core skills. Sight-reading, keyboard technique, and musical phrasing are practiced in ways that feel natural and fun. I also work on expressive dynamics, articulation, and performance memory to help students play with confidence.
I combine structure with freedom so students can grow technically while expressing themselves fully. Lessons are interactive, motivating, and designed to build lasting musical skills.
