About Tessa
My journey with the piano began when I first started learning music during childhood. I was fascinated by how the instrument could produce rich musical textures and allow musicians to perform complex compositions. This interest encouraged me to study music more deeply and eventually pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Music followed by a Master’s in Piano Performance.
During the past 8 years, I have taught piano to students of different ages and skill levels. Some learners wanted to prepare for performances and music examinations, while others wanted to explore music as a creative hobby. Through teaching, I learned that every student develops musical ability at their own pace and benefits from patient guidance.
My teaching style focuses on building strong technical foundations while encouraging musical creativity. I guide students through consistent practice routines and provide supportive feedback that helps them improve gradually. Helping students gain confidence at the piano and discover the joy of creating music is one of the most fulfilling parts of my teaching experience.

My piano lessons focus on helping students understand both the technical and expressive sides of playing music. The piano is a versatile instrument that allows musicians to perform melody, harmony, and rhythm at the same time. In my lessons, students gradually learn how to read music, control hand coordination, and develop rhythm while building confidence at the keyboard.
Lessons often begin with warm-up exercises such as scales and finger drills that improve hand strength and flexibility. Students also practice reading musical notes and understanding rhythm patterns. These foundational exercises help learners become comfortable with the instrument while strengthening their ability to connect written music with sound.
As students develop stronger technical ability, lessons expand into learning full musical pieces and exploring musical expression. Students practice controlling tempo, dynamics, and phrasing while performing music from different styles and periods. My goal is to help learners enjoy playing the piano while steadily improving their musical skill, confidence, and understanding of music performance.
