About Evan
I have been teaching piano for nine years, blending my experiences as a performer, composer, and educator to guide students toward both technical skill and expressive artistry. Helping learners find their own musical voice has been deeply rewarding and continues to inspire my teaching. I teach with patience, creativity, and adaptability, ensuring that lessons remain structured yet inspiring. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, goals, and personal style, emphasizing both technical development and creative exploration to foster confidence and enjoyment. Outside teaching, I perform, compose, and continue studying piano pedagogy to refine my methods. Learning piano is a journey that blends discipline, creativity, and personal expression. My lessons focus on building technical skill while encouraging students to interpret music emotionally, fostering both precision and artistry. I create a supportive and motivating environment where learners can explore, experiment, and find their own musical voice. Every session balances structured learning with opportunities for creative exploration.
Beginners focus on posture, hand positioning, note reading, and rhythm to establish a strong foundation. Intermediate students explore chords, scales, and sight-reading while developing interpretive skills. Advanced learners refine performance, expressiveness, and composition, learning to connect emotionally with every piece they play. Lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s goals, pace, and musical interests.
By the end, students gain technical mastery and the ability to communicate emotion through music. They build confidence, artistic awareness, and a lifelong appreciation for the piano as both a skill and a form of personal expression. Lessons are designed to cultivate independent, expressive, and inspired musicians.
