About Reese
I am a piano tutor with 9 years of experience and a background in B.Mus Piano Performance and M.Mus in Music Education. Over my career, I have guided students from beginners exploring simple melodies to advanced performers tackling complex repertoire. My teaching emphasizes technical precision, expressive interpretation, and performance confidence, ensuring learners grow holistically in their musicianship.
Lessons are customized to each learner’s abilities, learning style, and musical interests. I encourage students to engage creatively, reflect critically, and challenge themselves while maintaining a joyful and positive approach to learning.

Each session incorporates creative exploration through duets, ensemble playing, and repertoire development to develop both collaborative and solo performance skills. I emphasize understanding musical phrasing, dynamics, and articulation, helping learners connect emotionally with the pieces they play. The approach is flexible, allowing learners to explore genres that inspire them, from classical to contemporary music, while maintaining structured technical development. Students are encouraged to set personal goals, track progress, and perform regularly to build confidence and stage presence.
Advanced lessons explore improvisation, advanced harmonics, pedaling techniques, tone shaping, and expressive interpretation. Students develop the ability to analyze compositions critically, practice efficiently, and internalize musical theory through hands-on experience. We also incorporate guided exercises in performance anxiety management, musical storytelling, and creative expression, ensuring each learner grows technically and artistically. Personalized feedback, structured progression, and performance challenges allow learners to see tangible growth and develop a mature understanding of music.
