About Daisy
I began studying piano at a young age and pursued my passion by earning a B.Mus in Piano Performance and an M.Mus in Music Education. Over 9 years, I have taught students across diverse age groups and skill levels, focusing on technical proficiency, musical expression, and performance confidence. My teaching philosophy centres on nurturing each student’s unique voice and fostering a love for music.
I employ a student-centred approach that balances technique, theory, repertoire study, improvisation, and performance coaching. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to individual learning styles. I provide constructive feedback, encouragement, and practical strategies to help students reach their full potential as pianists.
Outside teaching, I perform, study contemporary and classical repertoire, and participate in collaborative musical projects to keep my instruction current and inspiring. Witnessing students develop technical skill, expressive depth, and artistic confidence is incredibly rewarding. Supporting their musical growth and helping them discover their own voice is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Piano lessons are most effective when technical precision, musical creativity, and expressive interpretation develop together. I focus on finger independence, sight-reading, rhythm, dynamics, articulation, pedalling, and ensemble collaboration. Lessons include repertoire study, improvisation, ear training, duets, and performance preparation. Each session encourages exploration, technical growth, and expressive confidence while connecting musical theory to emotional communication. My lessons are designed to cultivate both skill and artistry in every learner.
Lesson plans are customised for each student. Beginners focus on basic finger exercises, simple melodies, rhythm practice, and sight-reading fundamentals. Intermediate learners develop scales, technical exercises, expressive phrasing, and ensemble playing. Advanced learners explore complex repertoire, improvisation, interpretation, and performance readiness. Feedback, structured exercises, and practice strategies ensure consistent skill development and long-term progress.
Piano lessons also enhance creativity, discipline, and emotional expression. Students gain confidence performing solo or in groups while discovering their own musical voice. My goal is to guide learners towards technical excellence, expressive mastery, and the ability to communicate musically with authenticity and creativity.
