About Tula
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy, with 9 years of experience teaching students of diverse ages and skill levels. My lessons focus on building a solid technical foundation, developing musical interpretation, and encouraging creative exploration. I balance structured exercises with expressive repertoire and improvisation, allowing students to cultivate both skill and artistry.
I provide individualized guidance tailored to each learner’s level, fostering confidence, curiosity, and consistent growth. Beginners develop core skills, intermediate learners expand technique and expression, and advanced students refine artistry and performance readiness. My approach emphasizes patience, clarity, and support, creating an environment where students feel comfortable exploring music at their own pace.

In my lessons, I focus on finger independence, scales, arpeggios, sight reading, chord progression, improvisation, and expressive interpretation. Every session emphasizes connecting technical skill with musical understanding, ensuring that learners develop both confidence and artistry. Students are encouraged to explore music creatively, experiment with phrasing, and interpret repertoire in ways that reflect their personal style.
For beginners, lessons emphasize proper posture, hand positioning, foundational techniques, simple repertoire, and basic sight reading. Intermediate learners work on rhythmic accuracy, dynamic control, complex repertoire, improvisation skills, and ensemble playing. Advanced students refine technical precision, expressive phrasing, interpretation, and performance readiness. Lessons are designed to provide structure while fostering creativity, with consistent feedback, exercises, and goal-setting to support steady progress and motivation.
Piano study nurtures both technical ability and emotional expression. Students gradually gain confidence in performing solos, accompanying others, improvising, and understanding musical structure.
