About Sewa
I study physics at University but have also been tutoring since October 2019. Because I have been tutoring for so long I understand that not everyone learns the same way so the most important thing for me is that the lesson is interactive but I can also have a more formal style since some student prefer that. I love my job as a tutor and so I really want to do more of it which is why I am here. I also speak Swedish if this could help anyone.

I have worked at Lanterna for 4 years and I can teach IB physics and mathematics at all levels. Because of my experience I have sometimes been handed special cases and so I have also worked in teaching IGCSE and A-level physics and maths. This has been successful because I go through the subject guides and skim textbooks to get an understanding of their course so I can focus the lessons on the right thing.
I take a different approach depending on what the student needs, and I talk a lot to the student and try to make it as little like a lesson as possible because I want to explain exactly what they need instead of babbling on. The most important thing is that the student leaves the lesson having learnt something. Personally I always recommend going through past mistakes, looking at the formula booklets and how to best use them in exams or we go back to the basics. Sometimes we also do questions together.
A lesson lenght can be anything from 45min to 2 hours.
I can teach online to anywhere in the world and If I would teach in person this would be in Edinburgh, location is flexible, whatever the student is comfortable with.

In person if we meet somewhere easy for me to get to is same rate but if I travel to you then it will be 45 but I can go most places in Edinburgh.
