About Colby
My interest in physics started with a deep curiosity about how the world works and how scientific laws explain natural phenomena. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s in Applied Physics, where I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Over the past 8 years, I have taught students at different levels, helping them build confidence and clear understanding in physics. Teaching allows me to support students in achieving their academic goals.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and structured explanation. I understand that each student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to match their needs. I break down complex concepts into simple steps and use diagrams, examples, and real-life connections to make learning easier and more engaging. I also encourage students to ask questions and think independently.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring new developments in physics and improving my teaching approach. This helps me keep my lessons updated and relevant. Teaching physics is very rewarding because I see students grow from confusion to confidence. Helping them build strong understanding, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve success motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and passion.

My physics lessons are designed to make learning clear, structured, and easy to understand for every student. I begin with basic concepts such as motion, force, and energy, explaining each idea step by step in a simple and clear way. I use real-life examples so students can connect physics concepts to everyday experiences. This helps them feel more comfortable and confident while learning. I also create a supportive and calm environment where students can ask questions freely and explore ideas without hesitation.
As students gain confidence, I introduce more advanced topics such as electricity, magnetism, waves, and modern physics. I guide them through structured problem-solving techniques that help them apply formulas correctly and understand the reasoning behind them. Practice exercises are included in every lesson to improve accuracy and confidence. I also explain mistakes clearly so students can learn from them and improve step by step. Each lesson is designed to support steady progress and strong understanding.
Physics helps students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills that are useful in many areas. As students continue learning, they begin to approach challenges with more clarity and confidence. Many learners who once felt unsure about physics start to enjoy the subject and engage more actively. My goal is to help students build strong knowledge, think independently, and feel confident in applying physics concepts in exams, real-life situations, and future learning paths.
