About Saniya
ABOUT ME:
I am currently undertaking a PhD in Environmental Science, further building on my previous education. I have an MSc from Imperial College London and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh. Alongside my research, I have several years of experience tutoring GCSE Biology and mentoring students academically. I have also delivered scientific talks, workshops and outreach activities, helping audiences of different ages and backgrounds understand complex biological concepts.
I believe learning should be engaging, supportive and interactive. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing the confidence to think independently. Seeing students grow in both their understanding and self-belief is the most rewarding part of tutoring for me.

MY TUTORING APPROACH:
My approach is simple: if a student doesn't understand something, I see it as my job to explain it differently. Biology can seem overwhelming, but every topic becomes manageable when broken down into clear, logical steps. I adapt every lesson to the individual, using diagrams, active recall, exam questions and real-world examples to build genuine understanding rather than memorisation.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are tailored to each student's goals, whether that's building confidence, mastering difficult topics or achieving top grades. I teach GCSE and A-Level Biology and welcome students of all abilities, from those who need extra support to those aiming for A and A* grades.
