About Jordan
If you can't tell, I really love science! I have a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Chemistry from Bellarmine University, and now a M.S. in Biochemistry from Vanderbilt, and am working on my PhD! I'm young (and hopefully cool), and understand the struggles of getting a natural sciences degree firsthand, as I was in your shoes just a few short years ago. And, if biology isn't your thing and you just want to grit your teeth and bear through it, I understand that too; we can get through it together as painlessly as possible!

Biology doesn't have to be a drag of a subject. It's full of patterns, and built on a logical framework that once you have mastered, you can use intuition and your "biological sense" to tackle any problem, big or small!
I'm able to help with foundational Biology (general, Advanced Placement, Intro Bio, Biochem, etc.) in high school and early college, through advanced Biology (Cell Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Phisical Biochem, etc.) in late college and beyond. I'm a full-spectrum Chemistry tutor as well!
My teaching style relies on explaining the world each of us experience every day in biological terms. We all make iced tea, so let's talk about equilibrium constants; we all deal with rusty bike wheels, so let's talk about oxidation! Relating biological and chemical concepts (and those annoying equations) to physical phenomenon grounds your knowledge in the real world, taking the natural sciences from abstract and bothersome to insightful and tangible.
