About Matheus
I am an engineer graduated in Control Engineering, Automation and Robotics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) with a master's degree in the area from UFRJ and FEUP.
I am currently a PhD student and researcher at SYSTEC-FEUP, having more 10 articles published in the field of Control and Robotics in internationally recognized conferences and journals.
I have worked as a software developer for the control and planning framework used by the Atlantics team, receiving first place in the Njord competition - The Autonomous Ship Challenge 2021.

My classes are adjustable to the particular needs of the student; they can be focused on explanation if the student needs to better understand a particular concept, or focused in the concept application by solving problems.
I tend to use the Paulo Freire methodology in my classes, relating the topic being studied to the particular view of the student. This way, the student becomes capable of creating subjective relations to that topic, which tends to optimize the learning process.
