A enthusiastic PhD Researcher confident in teaching GCSE mathematics and science. I have significant experience in both these subjects and have a working knowledge of their specific concepts. I really enjoy teaching and relish in the opportunity in providing knowledge that I’ve learnt. PhD Researcher confident in teaching GCSE mathematics and science subject, specialising in topics that students find difficult such as algebra and geometry.
Commonly used these concepts in my own work as a postgraduate researcher.
Qualifications include: 1st honours in Biology, Distinction in Master by Research (MRes) and currently PhD Researcher in Liverpool.
Teaching technique:
I will first discuss with the prospective student their skill level and there requirements for the lesson (what they most find challenging). I will then begin working up a plan for the achieving the most difficult concept. Teaching will consist of a combination of taught online lessons, homework based on the work performed in the lesson (thereby backing up taught material) and continuous testing to ensure concepts have been understood. Each lesson will begin with a overview of the previous lesson and homework, and depending on this we will either progress or step back and go over a topic.
Qualifications:
1st class honours biology
Distinction in Molecular Biology, Masters by Research (MRes)
Currently working as PhD Researcher in Liverpool
6 GCSEs A*-C (including English)
Distinction *** (triple distinction) in BTEC Applied Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
Experience:
Experience teaching above 15 years of age up to PhD level.
