About Andréa
Andrea Rabelo is a Brazilian performing artist, PhD in Performing Arts, with over 25 years of experience in theater, circus, and dance. Her career spans more than 15 productions as an actor, director, and costume designer — earning nominations for prestigious awards such as the Braskem Award in Bahia, Brazil. Trained in Commedia dell’Arte and clowning, Andrea blends acting, physical theater, and mask techniques in her creative and teaching practice. Now based in South Australia, she wrote, directed, and performed her solo show 40 Hours to Australia at Adelaide Fringe 2024, and collaborated on the award-winning Amazonia (Fringe 2025), where she worked as co-writer, performer, and acting coach.
