About Niren
I believe mathematics is one of the most misunderstood disciplines. Many students approach me expecting only to learn how to solve equations or calculate derivatives, but mathematics is far more than these mechanical tasks. My goal is to inspire young minds to understand what mathematics truly represents.
I believe the real aim of studying mathematics in school is to learn how to think mathematically. This involves recognising a problem, knowing how to break it down, and applying the appropriate techniques to solve it. Once you’ve trained yourself to think like a mathematician, the same problem-solving mindset can be applied across other subjects as well!

I take a pastoral approach to teaching, ensuring that students feel safe and heard. I never dismiss any question as "silly" and make it clear that if a student doesn't grasp a concept, it is my responsibility to help them understand.
Since 2017, I have been tutoring and teaching, accumulating approximately 1,000 hours of experience in classrooms, one-to-one sessions, and group settings. My teaching experience ranges from working with children transitioning into secondary school to delivering undergraduate lectures. While my typical lesson lasts one hour, I am flexible to accommodate the needs of my students.
I specialise in mathematics and am qualified to teach students from age 11 onwards. Additionally, I offer tuition in the sciences, English literature, and English language at GCSE level.
