About John
I’m a super approachable and patient person with children of my own. I’m passionate and enthusiastic about science and education, regularly engaging in science outreach activities in schools and at public events. I trained to PhD level in Biochemistry, have been a research scientist and have worked in several chemistry related industries so am also a great source of careers advice in the sciences. In the initial free lesson we’ll take time to uncover the areas we need to work on and where you want to get to. From there we’ll build out a lesson plan that will include revising the theory and working through example test questions. While the focus is clearly on passing those exams, where possible I like to go deeper describing practical applications and real world examples where the student shows an interest.
