About Sisay
I am a PhD-qualified academic and researcher with over ten years of experience in teaching, research, and applied quantitative analysis. I have taught at leading UK universities and worked extensively on advanced modelling, data science, and analytical projects. I am passionate about helping students and professionals build strong conceptual understanding and practical skills, whether for academic success, research excellence, or real-world problem solving. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into clear, logical steps and supporting learners to think critically, independently, and confidently.

I offer personalised lessons in machine learning, mathematics, physics, mathematical and statistical modelling, hydrodynamic and system dynamics models (SDM), data science, and advanced data analysis and interpretation. I teach programming in R and Python, remote sensing and GIS, and the application of numerical, statistical, and hydrodynamic models to real-world problems. My teaching approach combines strong theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on exercises using real datasets and modelling tools. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and can support coursework, exams, research projects, and thesis work. I also provide guidance on research and review paper writing, including scientific structure, methodology, and critical analysis. In addition to teaching, I offer analytical and modelling support for companies and professional projects. My lessons are suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates, and professionals seeking high-level quantitative and modelling expertise.
