About Athira
I am a Chemistry Research Officer with a strong academic background in chemistry. After completing my Master’s degree in Chemistry, I earned my PhD in Chemistry from Dundalk Institute of Technology, Ireland.
Teaching has always been my passion, and I strive to support students in the most effective and approachable way possible. I focus on building a good rapport with students and explaining concepts clearly so they can develop a thorough understanding of the subject. My teaching approach is student-centred, adapting explanations and problem-solving methods to suit individual learning styles.
During my academic career, I have mentored graduate students and tutored first-year undergraduate students in various aspects of chemistry and research. In addition, I have been providing personal tuition for junior-level and senior-level students in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Physics for the past ten years.
I offer focused guidance for Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate examinations, including concept clarification, exam preparation, problem-solving practice, and revision support.

I am a PhD holder in Chemistry. I have given individual tuitions for students in various classes for 10 years. I completed a master's degree in chemistry before pursuing the PhD, and I have a good command over all the chemistry topics. In addition to that, I have pursued mathematics, biology, and physics till my bachelor's degree. I have shown a keen interest in these subjects. I am taking classes for junior-level and senior-level students. Also, I am available for additional sessions focusing on junior as well as senior cert exams. The length of the lesson is usually for an hour and can extend up to a maximum of two hours. I use a slow-paced teaching tactic when I deal with children who require additional support. I can mentor bachelor students for Chemistry topics. I am approaching each topic in a detailed way. Often, I used to explain the concepts as a story or with some catchy examples or play videos to have a thorough understanding of the concept. I always encourage students to ask many questions, and I take keen attention in clarifying their doubts and building a strong interest in their studies. I am aiming to develop an environment where you can learn in the most effective way without stress and help to bring out your full potential for your academic success. I am passionate about teaching and would like to support the student’s learning.
