About Andres
Hi all! I’m originally from New York City and really an enthusiast about teaching. My next step is a postdoc position in Cambridge University next year!
I am a mathematician by training and have also been passionate about teaching for much of my life. In college I was a private tutor, general math tutor (for all classes), and a teaching assistant for several courses. I also taught at math CAMPS. After college I continued to be a private tutor throughout my PhD (both online and in person) as well as a teaching assistant. I was named a “Master TA” by the department along with three other math students at the time.

One of the advantages of having someone with an advanced math background is that they also have the capacity to explain things in different ways. I think that everyone has their own journey in understanding math (be it for a test or not.) I’m more than willing to help guide students as well as provide additional problems depending on weak points.
