About Amy
I’m a PhD-qualified chemist and currently work as a Synthetic Research Chemist in industry. I have a strong passion for science and enjoy helping others understand and appreciate it too.
I studied Chemistry through to PhD level and have experience teaching students from primary school through to university. I’m friendly, approachable and patient, and I understand that everyone learns differently.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, travelling and gymnastics!

My lessons are friendly, relaxed and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on making difficult topics easier to understand, building confidence and developing problem-solving skills rather than relying on memorisation. I can support students with schoolwork, exam preparation, revision and specific topics they are struggling with. With a PhD in Chemistry and professional experience as a synthetic chemist, I can also provide real-world context and advice on studying and pursuing a career in science.
