About Meiling
Hi, I’m Meiling—born and raised in China, now based in Canada. I teach real-life Chinese through 1:1 personalized lessons and on YouTube (9k subscribers). After studying Psychology in Canada and the U.S., and spending 7 years working in tech as a UX designer, I found my personal fulfillment in teaching. During the pandemic, I launched a YouTube channel to help learners experience real-life Chinese in an engaging, relatable way—and I haven’t looked back since. I speak English and some French, and have experience connecting with learners from around the world. Through my private lessons, I teach practical, real-world Chinese in a fun and encouraging way. Whether you're learning for travel, work, or personal interest, I’m here to support you every step of the way. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy traveling, cooking, writing, art, sewing, and exploring nature.
