About DD
I'm a passionate and experienced Arabic tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience across five countries. I’ve helped more than 100 students successfully learn Arabic, from complete beginners to advanced learners. I’m of Egyptian heritage, born and raised in the Netherlands, which means I combine native-level understanding of the Egyptian dialect with a clear and structured Western teaching style. This helps me connect with students from both Arab and non-Arab backgrounds. I speak five languages and teach in Arabic, English, and Dutch. Having lived in the Netherlands, Japan, Malaysia, and Egypt, I understand how to connect with students from many cultural backgrounds. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Nottingham, and I always adapt my lessons to each student’s needs, goals, and learning style. I’m clear, patient, and supportive — and I believe language learning should be both effective and enjoyable.

My lessons are fully tailored to each student. I focus on what you need — whether that’s speaking, reading, writing, or listening. I teach both Modern Standard Arabic and the Egyptian dialect, and I always adapt my style to your level, goals, and pace.
With over 8 years of experience in 5 different countries, I’ve taught students of all ages — from complete beginners to advanced learners. Most beginners learn to read the Arabic alphabet in just 1–2 lessons. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, and interactive practice to help you feel confident and make real progress.
A typical lesson includes:
