About Minh Anh
My name is Minh Anh Tran (but please call me Minh Anh).
I am enthusiastic and passionate about maths and hope to inspire the same in you. If not, I am still more than happy to help you achieve your goals in class. Over the years, I have obtained a breadth of knowledge in maths, helping me achieve the NZQA Scholarship in Calculus.
When I am not doing schoolwork or tutoring, I like to swim, dance and play badminton.
I aim to create a comfortable environment to learn maths while having fun, so that there is less stiffness in the tuakana-teina (tutor-tutee) dynamic.

Lessons are catered solely on your needs and goals, my teaching method is flexible based on how you learn and understand best (ranging from exercises to hands-on activities).
I have two main tutoring styles, teaching based and assistance based.
- Teaching based, I develop a teaching plan and schedule to teach and help you learn concepts, and go through exercises to help you with what you are doing in class.
- Assistance based, you come to me with specific work from class and I assist you in completing that work.
Tutoring sessions can be a mixture of both.
Typical length of lesson are 60-120 minutes, depending on what you need to get done.
My lessons are for all year levels up to year 13. I cater more towards arithmetic, trigonometry, numerical methods, calculus, algebra, trig etc, rather than statistics.
I have four years experience in private tutoring, tutoring primary through to high school students.
Subjects and curriculums that I tutor:
ALL YEAR GROUP: Maths
NCEA Level 1-3 Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Dance
IB Maths AA and AI, SL or HL
Cambridge IGSCE, AS and A level Maths
Lessons will be in English, but can also be in Vietnamese if required.
