About Marcus
I'm Marcus! I have five years of experience tutoring K-12 math through calculus, AP Chemistry/Biology/Physics, and SAT/ACT prep. I am currently a senior at Binghamton University double-majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology. At college, I am the lead teaching assistant for a neuroscience research program and have also been a teaching assistant for Anatomy & Physiology. I thoroughly enjoy being a mentor and instructor: my favorite part is watching a student develop confidence and become independent in a difficult topic.

I incorporate my understanding of psychology into my teaching sessions, crafting a program tailored to a student's learning style. This includes creating labeled diagrams, having conceptual discussions, and drawing analogies. Reinforcing a student's ability to reason will assist them not only in the material at hand, but in more advanced topics they encounter later on.
