When a student is struggling with a lesson or concept, I go about the explanation by first giving them a fast summary of what the concept is supposed to accomplish, and pointing out which areas may be more difficult. I would then give a real-life example where the concept would apply, and as we go through each step, I would apply the reference to make the lesson less intimidating. I am currently in Trigonometry Honors, so I only feel comfortable teaching up to the level prior.

Details
For students elementary through middle school level, I will charge $10 per hour. For students seeking high school level material (Geometry and Algebra 2), I charge $15 per hour. Cancelations and/or reschedulings are free if done 24 hours prior to the scheduled session. Changes in the timing, location, or method of the meeting will be an additional $2 per change. I also am happy to have last-minute review sessions for $20 per hour with a 30-minute notification. If the session is urgent, I charge $25 per hour with a very short notice of 5 to 15 minutes.
