About Matthew
I’m a father of two boys aged 8 and 11, and supporting their learning has given me a hands-on understanding of exactly where children this age get stuck — particularly in Maths. I’m available during school hours (9am–3pm weekdays), making me an ideal fit for home-educated children. I’m patient, encouraging, and focused on building genuine understanding rather than just drilling answers. I’m based in Stroud and offer sessions both in person and online via webcam.

Sessions are relaxed but focused, typically one hour, and tailored around where your child currently is rather than a fixed script. I use clear real-world examples to make abstract concepts click, and I always end a session making sure the child feels confident about what we’ve covered. I’m happy to work through a structured curriculum, target specific weak spots, or support exam preparation — whatever suits your child’s learning journey best. Daytime slots available Monday to Friday.
