About David
My goal isn’t just to help students pass a test; it’s to make sure they actually understand what they’re doing and feel confident doing it on their own. I keep things simple and break problems down step by step so it makes sense. I don’t rush it either. I make sure the foundation is solid first, and I use real-life examples when I can so it doesn’t feel confusing or random.
I’m patient, reliable, and I genuinely care about helping my students succeed. I come prepared, explain things clearly, and adjust my approach depending on what each student needs.

What really sets me apart is how I connect with students beyond just the work. I don’t just teach math; I focus on building confidence, discipline, and helping students change how they see learning. A lot of students come in discouraged or feeling behind, and I take pride in helping them realize they’re more capable than they think.
With my background in psychology and over 11 years of mentoring, I understand that every student learns differently. Because of that, I keep my teaching simple and clear. I break things down step by step so it actually makes sense, and I use real-life examples whenever I can so the material doesn’t feel abstract or confusing.
A typical lesson is pretty straightforward. We’ll start with a quick review to make sure the foundation is solid. Then I’ll introduce the new concept in a way that’s easy to understand, and we’ll work through problems together. As the student gets more comfortable, I let them take the lead while I guide them and correct mistakes in real time. At the end, we’ll do a quick recap and I’ll give extra practice if needed.
I work with students at all levels from Kindergarten to high school and even college. Whether it’s basic math, homework help, test prep, or just getting ahead, I adjust each session based on what the student needs. No two students are the same, so I don’t teach everyone the same way.
