About Miriam
I have been tutoring for 4 years from Algebra to Calculus 2 and SAT/ACT math.
I tutored about 7 hours a week on average and so far I have tutored approximately 30 students.
I volunteered at Amherst Regional High School as a teaching assistant for precalculus honors and AP BC calculus for 3 years. Moreover, I worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Calc 1 at UMass Amherst.

I am pursuing a dual degree in chemical engineering and mathematics at University of Massachusetts Amherst, commonwealth honors college. I moved to America from South Korea in 2012 so I received higher level math educations in both countries. This is a huge advantage for me since high school math in South Korea requires accuracy and speed while that in America requires in-depth understanding.
I am very patient and will explain the content in various ways such as words, graphs, examples until student masters the material. I prep the student before exams by categorizing the topic and summarizing the key concepts and equations, written on a sheet of paper.
