About Cooper
I am a reliable, approachable and professional tutor with a Bachelor of Laws, which has helped me develop strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills. I understand the importance of explaining concepts clearly and patiently, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
Outside of tutoring, I am a first grade cricketer, which has taught me discipline, commitment and the value of consistent improvement. I also enjoy spending time at the beach, surfing and playing guitar. I believe these interests help me connect with students in a relaxed and relatable way, while still maintaining a focused and professional approach to learning.

My approach to tutoring is patient, practical and student-focused. I aim to make maths feel less overwhelming by breaking each topic down into clear, simple steps and ensuring the student understands the method, not just the final answer.
In my lessons, I usually begin by identifying the student’s current level and the areas they find most difficult. I then explain the concept, work through examples together, and gradually allow the student to attempt questions independently with guidance. I focus on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills, and helping students develop a reliable step-by-step approach they can use in tests and exams.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs.
I have helped over 60 students improve their confidence, understanding and approach to learning. My lessons are best suited to primary school and high school students who want extra support with maths, whether they are struggling with the basics, preparing for assessments, or looking to strengthen their overall understanding. I am approachable, reliable and committed to creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions.
