I have taught several different Methods. In Private lessons for the beginner student I recommend the Piano Adventure books as the children enjoy the musical pieces. There is a connected Theory, Technique, Sight Reading and Ear-training, Performance and Popular book. The children enjoy and progress well using these books with Instruction. However, from my own Pedagogical Training and experience I add a lot more to what a book can offer. But along with my skills this series works very well.
In the group classes I teach Singing (solfege) ear training, learning to play the piano, sight reading, ensemble playing, learning various rhythms, movement to music and composition. A creative hands on approach.
My philosophy is to install the love of Music to each student and bring out the best in each of them and have them gain confidence in learning and playing music.
