My Approach as a Tutor & How I Share My Knowledge:

- Teaching Method and Techniques:
My teaching method focuses on clarity, engagement, and mindset. I believe that no subject is truly difficult—it’s often the way it’s presented that makes it feel that way.
I use a step-by-step approach where I first clear misconceptions students may have about the topic, then break concepts into simpler parts using real-life examples, analogies, and interactive questions. I actively engage students with questions during lessons to check for understanding, and I encourage students to explain concepts back to me—a method known as the Feynman Technique—to deepen their understanding.

I also incorporate growth mindset coaching by reminding students that intelligence grows with effort, using the science of neuroplasticity to motivate them.

- A Typical Lesson Plan:
Here’s how I usually structure my sessions:

• Warm-up (5 minutes):
Quick review of the previous lesson or a few warm-up questions to activate prior knowledge.

• Main Lesson (25-30 minutes):

Introduce the new concept with examples.

Break it down step-by-step.

Solve guided practice questions together.

• Student-Led Practice (10-15 minutes):
The student attempts problems independently while I provide support when needed.

• Wrap-up (5 minutes):

Review what was learned.

Identify one small goal for the next session.

Leave the student with optional practice work if desired.

- What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
What makes me different is that I don’t just teach—I help students transform how they see learning. Many students come thinking “this is too hard for me,” and I help them break that belief using encouragement, mindset shifts, and clear teaching. I combine subject expertise with emotional intelligence. I’m not just focused on academic success, but also on building confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills that students can carry beyond the classroom.

- Who the Lessons Are For:
I primarily tutor middle school to college-level students, depending on the subject.

For Math and Science: Middle school, high school, and early college (depending on the topic)

For English and Writing: High school and college students needing help with essay writing, comprehension, or grammar

I work well with students who either feel left behind in class or students who are doing well but want to deepen their understanding and get ahead.

-Summary Sentence:
"Overall, my goal is to help students not just pass tests but develop confidence, clarity, and a love for learning that lasts far beyond the tutoring session."
