About Nathan
Nathan Lutz is a career educator with 26 years of experience including the roles of teacher, global learning coordinator, department chair, instructional coach, curriculum writer, and division director. Nathan holds a B.A. in French, English, and Women’s and Gender Studies (Louisiana State University), an M. A. in French (Rutgers) and an M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning (SUNY Empire State). As a tireless advocate for quality world language programs, he has served the profession as Chair of the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (NECTFL), the Vice President of Programs of the Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey (FLENJ), and President of the National Network for Early Language Learning (NNELL). Nathan is also a frequent conference presenter, a consultant for school districts, and a writer and editor for various language programs. His most recent publication is Language Together: French. Nathan’s professional interests include early access to world language education, portfolios for reflection and goal setting, social justice in the classroom, community engagement, and place-based learning.
