About Samantha
I graduated college with a B.A in writing, with a focus on creative writing. I have also taken many classes in various genres throughout the writing spectrum. Many of these classes have involved practice tutoring and leading writing workshops. I am currently teaching ESL (writing, reading, speaking) to children online and am tutoring a teenager in writing expression. My future goal is to lead writing workshops helping people through life, focusing on using writing as a tool to aid in expression, connection, and understanding.

I try to understand and connect with my students. I like to use exercises that involve their interests and use passion to help them improve their writing. I believe when you are passionate about something, the potential in endless. I also believe it is important to reflect the student's work, anything I ask them to do, I will do as well. All aspects of writing are important and the process should be valued just as much as the final product. Positive encouragement and highlighting the students' strengths is a must throughout my lessons. I also try to push my students and help them grow.
