About Zainab
Hi! I’m a 3rd year medical student at Queen Marys University with a strong academic background in science, maths, and English. I’ve personally navigated the challenging medical school application process, so I’m passionate about helping students not only excel academically but also confidently tackle personal statements, UCAT/BMAT preparation, and interviews. Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of tutoring a wide range of students, many of whom have improved their grades significantly and surpassed their goals.
Teaching is more than just sharing knowledge for me, it’s about inspiring confidence and creating a supportive environment where each student feels motivated to reach their full potential. I tailor my lessons to individual needs, focusing on clear explanations, active engagement, and consistent practice to build both skills and self-belief. I genuinely enjoy seeing my students grow in ability and confidence, and that’s why I’m committed to helping you succeed.

I’m a medical student with a strong academic background in science, maths, and English. I’ve also been through the medical school application process, so I can support students with personal statements, UCAT/BMAT preparation, and interview skills. One of my students recently improved their GCSE Biology Grade by 2 within just a few months of weekly sessions.
My teaching style is tailored to each student’s needs, I identify their weak areas and help them build confidence through clear explanations, guided practice, and active engagement. We begin by covering the topic thoroughly, then apply the knowledge through targeted questions; learning how to approach any question thrown at you concerning that topic. In future sessions, I incorporate quick tests and spaced repetition to reinforce learning and check understanding over time. I always aim to make lessons engaging and to build a strong rapport so that students feel motivated and supported.
I’ve been tutoring for over three years and have taught a wide range of students with great success. Many of my students have not only met their goals but exceeded them. I’m also familiar with major exam boards like AQA, Edexcel, and OCR, which helps me align sessions with what examiners are looking for.
Additionally, I spent a year working part-time in a primary school, giving me valuable experience with younger learners and insight into the challenges they face. I truly enjoy tutoring, watching a student grow in confidence and skill is incredibly rewarding, and I’m passionate about helping each learner reach their full potential.
