About Gareth
I am someone who has always held a deep respect and profound passion for literature and languages - having grown up bi-lingual, and excelling in English and creative writing throughout my academic career. With pride, I strove to insert myself into every writing opportunity at school and received multiple awards for my work and scholastic studies. I have several pieces published in local and online forums and I am in the early stages of publishing my first novel. Furthermore, I have experience in tutoring high school students, children and an excellent personal demeanor.

I believe each and every student is unique, but that the commonality is the latent ability to excel in communication and languages. I intend to inspire the students and work to improve their acumen in English by simultaneously providing a structure of learning and nourishing their interest in the subject. I will set them a variety of essays within their schedule, allowing them to explore various forms of writing, as well as encouraging reading - both aloud and in private, so as to strengthen their basic abilities. I will lay a firm foundation of guidelines by which they may govern their English studies (eg. The varied forms of verbs, the use of particular pronouns, principles of concord and increasing their vocabulary, etc), but also engage them constantly - for the best way to promote learning is to do so without knowing consciously that you are learning, as adolescents tend to inherently rebel against it.
