About Yasmin
I am a 2024 selective high school graduate in Sydney with a passion for teaching. I achieved 4 band 6's and 2 high band 5's in the HSC, finishing with an ATAR of 96.00. I have tutored privately for 2 years now and volunteered at my high school's tutoring program to assist struggling Yr 7's in furthering their literacy and numeracy. For my Duke of Edinburgh voluntary service, I engage in more english tutoring, narrowing in on primary school students. I am a passionate reader and have composed pieces of work for the UN Youth Global Advocate Magazine to inspire change in society.

The beginning of the session is usually a review of the previous lesson and answering any questions. The rest of the lesson either follows what they're doing in their classes or my own lesson plans. I follow their school curriculum closely to ensure that students achieve their full potential while developing my own exercises to incorporate into sessions. My English lessons involve creative writing, building essay analysis, reading comprehension and literacy skills. My Maths lessons involve a focus on building foundational numeracy and true understanding of topics to apply to questions.
