About KERRILYN
Hi, I'm Kerrilyn!
I have always been passionate about English (especially the study of the English language) and have pursued this subject up to an undergraduate degree level. As it is something that I am very enthusiastic about, I would love the opportunity to help other people with their acquisition of English or aid their learning and comprehension of the GCSE. As you can see from my grades, I achieved an A at A level and a 2:1 in my degree and so I believe I could be a great help.
Moreover, I have recently started studying for a master's degree in Forensic Linguistics at Aston University. This is the reason I have relocated from Essex to Birmingham and have a little less free time than I would like. However, I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can to tutoring and hope that my new course will further my knowledge of English (and open up my mind to the intricacies of Law!)
As tutoring is fairly new to me, I would primarily like to get to know the child or adult I am teaching and assess what they are having difficulty with. Once this has been established, I would be more than willing to prepare work which hones in on this (including flash cards, worksheets etc) and also prepare homework. If the teaching that is required is more general, I would prefer to take it step by step to cover all aspects of the course.
