About Lucy
I am a qualified CELTA (teaching English as a foreign language) English teacher, and PGCE (post graduate certificate in education, in order to teach at schools) qualified language teacher. I am truly passionate about languages, I have worked and studied in the UK and abroad, where I have had the opportunity to experience many different learning styles. I believe that languages are a bridge to expanding our horizons, in understanding different cultures, helping us become more open minded people, and a wonderful way to strengthen and work our minds.

My methodology focuses on tailoring my lessons to the objectives of the student. Its really important that we consolidate learning by using all the skills, eg. speaking, listening, reading and writing, through a variety of tasks, which are most engaging, taking into consideration the students likes and giving them tangible tasks, where they can see their progression. I believe firmly in only 1% theory and 99% practice, not spending too much time intellectualizing of the theory by making the most practicing what we are aiming to achieve.
