About Christina
I am a working professional in the Apparel Product Development industry, where I’ve developed strong skills in problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication—qualities I bring to my role as a tutor. Outside of work, I am deeply passionate about learning and education, which has been a core part of my life from an early age. My mother, who worked as a 4th and 5th-grade teacher and later became an elementary school principal, showed me the incredible impact education can have on others. As a student, I excelled academically, earning A’s in the gifted program and attending magnet schools that encouraged intellectual curiosity and a love of learning. During that time, I often helped my classmates understand difficult concepts and participated in a tutoring program, which gave me the opportunity to make a difference in their learning journeys. These experiences have shaped my approach to tutoring: I bring professionalism, a commitment to excellence, and a supportive attitude to every session. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students, break down challenging subjects like math and reading into manageable steps, and help them succeed. Whether you’re building foundational skills or aiming to excel, I’m here to support and guide you every step of the way.

- My approach as a tutor is student-centered, focusing on identifying each learner's unique strengths, challenges, and learning styles. I use a combination of interactive and hands-on techniques, such as real-world examples, visual aids, and problem-solving exercises, to make complex concepts more accessible. I encourage active participation, critical thinking, and asking questions to create a collaborative and engaging learning environment. I also incorporate positive reinforcement to build confidence and motivation in my students.
-A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously covered material to reinforce understanding and ensure retention. I then introduce the day's topic with clear objectives and examples, followed by guided practice where the student actively applies the concepts. Finally, I provide independent exercises to assess comprehension and leave time for reflection and discussion. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual goals and progress.
