About Minahil
As a private tutor, I have more than four years of experience teaching GCSE and A-level students. My experience studying at the University of Oxford has been invaluable in shaping my approach to teaching. As a student at Oxford, I was exposed to some of the best minds in academia and had access to some of the most innovative teaching methodologies. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the importance of developing critical thinking skills and understanding the concepts underlying a subject, rather than just memorizing information. My time at Oxford also taught me the importance of continuous learning and instilled in me the drive to pursue excellence in all aspects of my life. As a result, I bring this experience to my teaching by focusing on concept-based learning and encouraging my students to engage with their subjects critically. I believe that my experience at Oxford, coupled with my extensive experience as a private tutor and professional experience in the corporate world, make me a well-rounded and effective tutor who can help students achieve their academic goals.

My teaching approach focuses on CONCEPT-based learning, empowering students with different active learning strategies, and fostering a mindset of continuous learning and growth. I also provide visual representations and diagrams to optimize knowledge retention and practice past exam questions that are key to exam success.
I topped my O level exams by scoring 8A*’s and 2A’s and was awarded a 100% merit-based scholarship. Later, I topped my A-Level exams with 5A*’s, which still holds the record at my school.
I pursued a four-year integrated Masters course in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and graduated with an MEng in 2019.
