About Yueyang
I am an outgoing, enthusiastic person who has always had a passion for maths and sharing my knowledge of the subject with the wider world. I have participated in countless extra-curricular mathematics events in the past, with my proudest achievement being a medal in the UKMT Maths Olympiad.
Academically, I have achieved 11 Grade 9s at GCSE and 4 A* grades at A level, with a score of 293/300 in Maths and 275/300 in Further Maths, and I am now furthering my knowledge of maths with my studies at Imperial College London, a world-leading STEM institution. I am determined to be equally as dedicated to ensuring that all my students increase their chances of getting such grades.
I have much experience in assisting younger students, whether that be as a classroom assistant in the past, or with 3 years of experience at Kumon teaching Maths and English. I strongly believe that building good rapport and a solid friendship with the students, along with clear explanations and teaching style, will make them interested in the subject, passionate to learn, and ultimately achieve stellar results. I will support all my students until the very end!

I aim to offer thorough, well-planned and well-delivered lessons with a key focus on student participation. All lessons will be personalised depending on the students' ability level, and can last from 30 to 90 mins depending on what suits you.
Having experienced the full spectrum of secondary school maths education, I am confident that I can help guide students through any area of mathematics, from KS3 through GCSE to A level. KS3 Mathematics sessions will focus on key areas of maths and supporting students with their work at school, whereas more advanced sessions will also focus on tackling exam-style questions. Lesson content is flexible, and I can adjust what I teach to what the student feels is most beneficial for them!
