About Avril
I recently graduated in English Linguistics and literature with La Sorbonne, obtained a certification in Neurosciences applied to learning and cognitive linguistics with the University of California, San Diego, and one in teaching French as a second language with l'Alliance française.
Native French from Lyon originally, I worked abroad for years - England, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Canada- and used daily 3 languages, English, Spanish and French.
I teach French and English online for three years now.

Hello everyone,
When I was a student in English linguistics and literature myself, I struggled with the usual studying methodology, rote learning or the grammar rules. I took another semester in neurosciences to understand better how to learn, thus teach efficiently and retain information on the long term.
I always prepare the lessons including reading, writing and conversational French exercise to develop your vocabulary, your understanding and spoken skills. I regularly test the students, as everything that wasn't understood or that was forgotten too fast deserves more attention, and it's my duty to make it more accessible, fun and help you master French soon !
