About Lauren
I have a drive to learn about the world around me, specifically through a STEM lens. I pursued my passion by completing a Masters in Chemistry. I have since worked in a number of different industries including the R&D team for Strepsils and building Submarine Rescue Vessels. I am aiming to start my PGCE next academic year as I’m ready to switch careers and focus on my love of learning and teaching.
My goal with all interactions with friends, peers, colleagues, and even strangers is to leave them with a new piece of knowledge they wouldn’t have considered before to help explain the world.

I have a Masters in Chemistry as well as experience working in the Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Energy, Defence, Nuclear & Renewables Industries. I’m extremely passionate about inspiring a love of STEM for all ages and making direct connections from the classroom to real world applications. My approach is completely personalized, focussing on your immediate needs while considering your long term goals and applications. Wherever possible I incorporate real world examples and games to keep you engaged and make you consider your STEM subject for new angles.
