About Beth
I’m passionate about maths outreach and helping others have confidence tackling maths problems.
I obtained a First Class Honours in my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Oxford and a Distinction in my Master's degree.
Outside of maths, I love painting, running and reading!

Hi! I’m Beth, a Maths graduate from the University of Oxford, and I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident with maths.
I know that maths can feel intimidating, but it really doesn’t have to! My aim is to make lessons relaxed, engaging and tailored to each student, so that they not only improve their grades but actually understand and enjoy the maths they’re doing.
I achieved full marks in both my Maths GCSE and A Level, and I’ve tutored students extensively across different levels and abilities. For example:
- Helped a GCSE student improve from a predicted 5 to a 7 in just 4 months
- Helped an A Level student improve from a predicted A to an A* in just 2 months
Whether you’re struggling with the basics, preparing for GCSE or A Level exams, retaking a GCSE, or aiming for the very top grades, I can adapt lessons to what you need.
I also run the YouTube channel Maths Unboxed, where you can get a feel for my teaching style before booking a lesson!
