About Andrew
I am a Mathematics and Computer Science student in my second year at the University of Oxford. I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and an A in Computer Science in my A-Levels. I have experience working for both my university and subject at open days and outreach events and have worked at a tutoring centre.

I have experience working in a tutoring centre so I have knowledge in teaching techniques, how to find quality resources and adapting to students finding topics easier or harder than expected. I believe maths and sciences can be taught in a more creative way that allows students to see different perspectives to the subjects to what they may have been shown at school, finding alternative ways to understand difficult-to-grasp material. I offer hour-long lessons online and can teach students of any ability to gain confidence and challenge themselves. I teach by working through examples with the student and allowing them to work through questions themselves, helping them when necessary.

Perfect! We found Andrew on Superprof after our son failed his Year 12 maths exam and was feeling very disappointed. The school gave him the opportunity to resit, but with only 2.5 weeks to prepare, we wanted to give him the best chance possible.
Andrew was nothing short of amazing. In just 6 sessions, he helped our son rebuild his confidence and understanding of the subject. Thanks to Andrew’s clear explanations, patience, and encouragement, our son achieved a grade B in his resit!

Andrew has helped our son with maths and sciences whilst at secondary school. He understands his subjects extremely well, and is patient and calm.
